Cleansing Incense

Wheel of the Year Incense

We use incense for protection and cleansing at every ceremony and ritual. Apart from a simple standard incense comprising Lavender, Rosemary and Sage we can put together a special blend of herbs for the different turning points in the year that may be seasonal and relate to the different seasons. On this page you can find a range of incense blends for each of the turning points in the year starting with Yule. It is very simple to make your own, just get together your choice of herbs or use one of our blends below and mix or grind lightly in a pestle and mortar, while blending think about what the purpose of it is (protection, cleansing etc) to instill your intent and then store in an airtight jar or other container until you are ready to use it. Sprinkle and burn over a charcoal disc in an appropriate vessel such as a shell or small cauldron. My incense blends use relatively cheap and easy to obtain herbs some of which you can collect by foraging in your local countryside. There are many different blends that people use, put together with a whole host of fancy herbs and potions but with the correct intent you can keep it simple and cheap and stll have a nice aroma. The properties of each herb is listed at the bottom of the page.
